  1. Unlock the Master Key.
  2. Reverser to Neutral.
  3. Press the Engine Start button.
  4. Train Brake to Initial.
  5. Press the Parking Brake Off button.
  6. Reverser to Forward.
  7. Train Brake to Running.
  8. Apply the Throttle.

How do I recover from an emergency stop in the High Speed Train?

  1. Throttle to Idle.
  2. Train Brake to Release
  3. Apply the Throttle

What is the start-up procedure for the Class 158?

  1. Unlock the Master Key.
  2. Reverser to Forward.
  3. Automatic Brake to Release.
  4. Apply the Throttle.

How do I recover from an emergency stop in the Class 158?

  1. Throttle to Off.
  2. Brake to Release.
  3. Reverser to Off
  4. Then, Reverser to Forward.
  5. Apply the Throttle.

How do I use the Guards Panel with Class 158?

  1. Open the Guard Panel on the platform facing doors nearest the cab. It is located in a white panel to the side of the doors.
  2. Turn the Door Key to the On position.
  3. Open/Close buttons can be used to operate the doors accordingly.
  4. The Local Door Open/Closed switch can be used to operate that individual door.
  5. When done, turn the Door Key to the Off position and close the panel.

 How do I enable the passenger lighting in the Class 158?

  • Use the Lights On/Off buttons on the panel behind the driver's seat.
