The Kiha40 is powered by an inline 6-cylinder DMF15HSA diesel engine outputting 220 horsepower, the power performance of Kiha 40 is far from powerful, making it challenging to drive on the slopes. Please keep an eye on the gradients to maintain your speed.
How do I operate the brakes on the Kiha40?
Kiha 40 comes with a manual-lapped automatic air brake system. The system applies brake by reducing the brake pipe pressure, and releases brake by increasing the brake pipe pressure. brake handle to Hold position will keep the brake force of the
first car and release the brake on other cars. - Handle-off: Keep the current brake status, you can remove

takes time to recover brake pipe pressure and release.
