To run any of our titles, you will need to keep your Operating System up-to-date. You can use the information below to check for updates. We'd recommend that you do not subscribe to the Windows Insider Programme to ensure that you are only getting the most stable updates.
Windows 11:
- Right-click the Start menu, then select Settings.
- Click on the Windows Update tab.
- Then, select Check for Updates.
Windows 10:
- Left-click Start and then left-click on the Gear icon (Settings);
- Left-click Update & Security and then Check for Updates;
- Install all available updates as presented. You may need to restart your PC several times to completely install all updates.
Important: Windows 10 will no longer receive security updates after October 14, 2025. To learn more about upgrading to Windows 11, please visit: https://www.microsoft.com
Important information
Microsoft has ended support for both Windows 7 and 8. This means you will no longer receive essential security updates, putting your computer at risk of online threats and reducing its compatibility with modern hardware and software. You may also find that graphics card brands Nvidia and AMD no longer provide up-to-date drivers for your operating system.
Windows 8 or 8.1: Microsoft ended support for Windows 8 and 8.1 in January 2018.
Windows 7: Microsoft ended support for Window 7 in January 2020.
Steam ended support for Windows 7 and 8 on 1st January 2024. You will no longer be able to download and use your Steam library on these operating systems.
