Bassmaster Fishing is the official game of B.A.S.S., the biggest and most authentic sports fishing game ever made.
What platforms is Bassmaster Fishing available on?
Bassmaster Fishing is available on Steam, PlayStation®5, PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X.
What is Bassmaster Royale?
This mode follows the traditional Bassmaster rules, which are the total weight of your biggest 5 bass (Largemouth, Smallmouth or Spotted Bass). To stay in the game, you’ll need to keep your fish weight total above other players, or risk getting eliminated throughout the match. The player with the largest weight at the end of the match is the winner.
What lakes/venues are in Bassmaster Fishing on launch?
St. Johns River, Toledo Bend, Lake Guntersville, Chickamauga Lake, lake Ray Roberts, Sabine River, Lake Hamilton and St. Lawrence River.
Will there be any more lakes added?
We have an expansion plan for Bassmaster Fishing including new venues. We will provide news and details on this in future.
Is it only bass fishing in Bassmaster Fishing?
No, we have a variety of fish species you can catch including; Largemouth Bass, Spotted Bass, Black Crappie, White Crappie, Walleye, Chain Pickerel, Channel Catfish, Flathead Catfish, Blue Catfish, Bluegill, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Coho Salmon, Chinook Salmon, Pumpkinseed, Striped Bass, White Bass, Freshwater Drum, Longnose Gar, Muskie and Tiger Muskie.
Do I have to play as a pro-angler or can I make my own character?
You can play as or play against our pro-angler team, and we have our largest ever character customisation and clothing options to make sure you stand out on the lake.
I can’t catch a fish, what do I do?
If you are struggling to catch fish in Bassmaster Fishing, be sure to play the in-game tutorial by clicking on Anglers Hub then Tutorial. If you are still having trouble, we have a series of videos called Getting Started with Bassmaster Fishing on YouTube that you can watch here.

What’s the difference between the Standard and Deluxe editions of the game?
In the Deluxe edition, you’ll receive everything from the Standard edition, plus 6 boat wraps. A mix of rods, reels, and lures with exclusive colour patterns, 5 special deluxe edition items of clothing and your very own set of mastery challenges and rewards.
I own the Standard edition, can I get the Deluxe Edition?
Yes, you can! From the game's main menu navigate to shop. From there you can purchase the Deluxe Upgrade Pack for £6.99/ €8.99/ $9.99.
How do I join my friend on multiplayer?
Head to Bassmaster Online, find a Fishing Trip server and join the same server as your friend, then meet up and fish.
What is Dovetail Live?
Dovetail Live is your gateway into Mastery Challenges.
• Catch Shots - This is where you can upload and share images of your legendary catches with friends.
• Catch Logs – A super handy resource for keeping track of the fish you’ve landed so far.
• Catch Reports – Study the tactics, bait choices and locations chosen by anglers around the world.

If I own the game on PS4 will I need to buy the game again on PS5?
No. If you buy the game on PS4 and upgrade to a PS5 you will still be able to play Bassmaster Fishing provided you use the same account details.

English, French, German, Polish, Portuguese – Brazil, Russian, Simplified Chinese and Spanish – Latin America
Troubleshooting
How do I reset Career Mode on Steam?
- Open Steam
- Go to Library Bassmaster Fishing Properties General
- Disable Steam Cloud
- Go to: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\BassmasterFishing\Saved
- Delete the Saved Data Folder
- Re-enable Steam Cloud and choose to keep the Local Save when prompted with the Cloud Conflict.
Why aren't my catches being counted?
Please note that your catches will only be counted if they fulfil the criteria below.
- Rules: (e.g. only the Top Five Catches count)
- Qualifying Species: (e.g. only Largemouth Bass count)
You can view the Rules on the intro/summary of each event and the Qualifying Species will always be visible on the pause menu.
Why don't I have the sponsorship discounts I unlocked?
If you are not receiving the expected discounts from your sponsors, please try the following steps.
- Open Bassmaster Fishing 2022
- Go to Career and click on Sponsors.
- Un-equip all sponsors.
- Restart the game.
- Equip all the sponsor you wish to use.
Now you should be receiving the correct sponsorship discounts.
Where are my lures?
Soft Plastics and Swim Baits will be the only lures available when you are using weights/hooks. If you switch back to "No Weight" then you will have access to a wider range of lures.
