Cargo Line Vol. 6 - Gas – Arriving Next Week!
Cargo Line is heading to mainland Europe for the very first time!
Cargo Line Vol. 6: Gas is heading to Train Sim World 6, bringing hazardous freight operations to Pfälzische Ludwigsbahn: Mannheim - Kaiserslautern. Developed by Skyhook Games, this latest entry in the Cargo Line series introduces authentic Zags 110m³ gas tankers, expanding the variety of freight traffic across one of Germany's busiest regional railways.
Whether you're hauling fully loaded tankers to keep industry moving or returning empty wagons for their next assignment, it's time to put your freight skills to the test.

Expand Your Freight Fleet
As with previous Cargo Line releases, the new Zags tanker wagons aren't limited to one locomotive.
With Free Roam and Formation Designer, pick your poison of any locomotive in your collection, and challenge yourself by hauling heavy trains across European rails.
For the full experience, we recommend owning Train Sim World 6: Pfälzische Ludwigsbahn: Mannheim - Kaiserslautern, available separately.
Key Features
- Zags 110m³ gas tanker wagon in VTG white and orange stripe livery
- Clean and weathered wagon variants
- Six new scenarios for Pfälzische Ludwigsbahn: Mannheim - Kaiserslautern
- Eighteen additional timetable services using the DB BR 185, with compatible locomotive substitutions
- Free Roam, Formation Designer, Scenario Planner and Livery Designer compatible
New scenarios, timetables and more!
Take charge of the DB BR 185 as you haul heavy gas tankers across the varied landscapes of Rhineland-Palatinate.
Featuring six brand-new scenarios throughout Mannheim - Kaiserslautern. From short shunting movements to longer main line hauls in changing weather conditions, every journey presents a new challenge.
The new Zags tanker wagon is available in both clean and weathered variants, complete with authentic VTG branding and realistic handling.

Train Sim World® 6: Cargo Line Vol. 6: Gas is coming July 14th for Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 for £9.99 / €11.99 / $12.99.
The Future of Cargo Line - The freight doesn't stop here.

Cargo Line continues to grow, and we're excited to confirm that two more Cargo Line packs are already in development.
While we aren't quite ready to reveal what's next, Cargo Line 6 is just the latest stop on the journey. Keep an eye on our social channels and Roadmap articles for more news in the coming months.
Thames Valley Branches from Incredible Trains
IT: "A significant amount of time over the past weeks has gone into performance profiling across the entire route. My aim has been to make sure there are no performance concerns and that the route remains as smooth as possible, even in the busiest areas."

"As part of this work I have developed an extensive performance profiling dashboard which gives me much deeper insight into how the route performs under different conditions. While this has taken a considerable amount of development time, it is an investment that will benefit not only Thames Valley Branches but also future projects, allowing me to identify and resolve performance issues much earlier during development."

"Alongside the optimisation work I have continued polishing the route and introducing a number of new features that help bring the world to life."
"Fields will now change their crops depending on the season, creating a landscape that evolves throughout the year. Wildlife has also received some attention, with birds now reacting to approaching trains by scattering as you get closer. Across the route you will also notice authentic British telegraph poles, helping to reinforce the distinctive character of the Thames Valley."

"Road traffic has also become more authentic with the addition of British ambulance and police vehicles, while rivers are no longer static thanks to animated boat traffic moving through the scenery."

"The Class 165 has seen extensive improvements. The cab has been refined with working train faults, functional fuses, improved night lighting, more accurate simulation systems and a revised interior layout based on reference material. These changes make the driving experience feel both more authentic and more immersive. Finally, scenery work has continued across the route with a great deal of additional detail added throughout. Autumn has also received special attention, with a much richer variety of foliage colours to create a more vibrant and realistic seasonal experience."
Freightliner Class 70 & Wascosa MLA Wagon from All Aboard Studios
AABS: "Last month's Roadmap focused on the gameplay opportunities the Freightliner Class 70 will bring, from the new Midland Main Line timetable to additional freight services across the West Coast Main Line. This month, we're taking a look inside the locomotive itself."

"The Class 70 has become one of the most technically ambitious locomotives we've developed. Built by GE Transportation in the United States but designed specifically for the UK network, recreating its blend of American engineering and British railway systems has been a unique challenge for the team."

"Our goal has been simple, if you can interact with it in the real locomotive, you can interact with it in Train Sim World."
"From the moment you enter the cab, virtually every switch, button, rotary selector and lever has been brought to life. Lighting controls, cab fans, fuse panels, circuit breakers, operational display screens, external fuel connections and countless other systems all function exactly as they should, creating a locomotive that rewards players who enjoy learning every aspect of modern traction."

"Even starting the locomotive is an experience in itself. Rather than pressing a single button, you'll carry out the correct start-up sequence, bringing each system online before you're ready to move."
"It's this level of functionality that has made the Class 70 one of our biggest technical projects to date. The team are now closing in on completion, with the focus shifting towards refinement and polishing every last detail."

"Combined with the new Midland Main Line timetable and additional freight layers across the West Coast Main Line, the Class 70 won't just add a new locomotive to your collection, it brings a whole new way to experience modern freight operations."
Take a listen and peek at the Freightliner Class 70 in action:
Tadami Line: Aizu - Wakamatsu from Union Workshop – Arriving before Dovetail Direct!
We know you've been waiting for this, but we can confirm - Tadami Line is finally on the horizon, arriving into Train Sim World ahead of our Dovetail Direct on August 25th
We'll be using this last Roadmap update as a chance to share a snapshot of our updates over the last few months, and get you ready for the journey.

And if you're looking for more, at the end of last year we also shared a work-in-progress gameplay showcase of the route in action!
Get ready for your ticket into Japan in Train Sim World, with more news on the Tadami Line, including new screenshots and the launch trailer headed your way in the coming weeks!
Mildmay line Richmond Extension from Incredible Trains
IT: "Development of the Richmond extension continues to make excellent progress. One feature that I can now confirm is aimed at owners of the Euston to Milton Keynes route. The included Class 350 will receive a licensed South West Trains livery, allowing it to represent the Class 450 on AI services around Richmond. This will add another welcome layer of authenticity to the route."

"The Richmond extension has also benefited from the extensive optimisation work carried out recently. Using the new performance profiling dashboard I have been able to free up enough performance headroom to introduce a feature that many of you have requested for quite some time."
"In cab CCTV screens are now being implemented. This is an expensive feature from a performance perspective and on my own system enabling the screens reduces performance by around 5 to 10 FPS while they are active. For that reason the feature can be enabled or disabled through the Expert Mode settings, allowing players to choose the experience that best suits their hardware."

"Finally, the animated river traffic developed for Thames Valley Branches will also make its way to the Richmond extension, helping to bring the River Thames to life and adding even more movement to the surrounding environment."

Two notes about intentional omissions from this timetable:
- LNER services north of Edinburgh require a Class 800 with a full diesel mode, which is not in TSW; the Class 801 cannot work these services as it only has an emergency diesel engine.
- The Class 158 is not used because adding it would remove gameplay from players who only own Fife Circle. Substitution with the Class 170 is not an option because the 158 has two carriages, and the 170 has three.
