Morristown Line: New York & Hoboken - Dover Route Add-On
March across the Morris & Essex County suburbs and dart to the commuter town of Dover in classic electric equipment. New York awaits with the NJ TRANSIT® Morristown Line, ready for bustling rail operations in Train Sim World 6 – all aboard for Hoboken!
The Morristown line dates back to the lucrative 1830s, when New Jersey locals needed a connection to New York City. Born to carry people, the line accelerated in popularity among passengers, being extended to Dover by 1848. As time passed and companies merged, it became part of the many electrified lines into New York, and Hoboken terminal, and today is a frequent commuter line operated by NJ TRANSIT®.
One of the staples on the line is the Arrow III, also known as the Jersey Arrow. Original designs for this fleet of electric railcars date back as far as 1968 for the Pennsylvania Railroad, although the latest 3rd generation was built in 1977. Hoboken Division Arrow IIIs are denoted by a 25K sticker adorned on each cab end, meaning they are setup for 25kV use, as opposed to Newark Division’s 12kV electrification.
In Train Sim World 6, become an engineer or conductor aboard NJ TRANSIT® commuter services. Climb into the retro Arrow III EMU and depart from Hoboken, through the 1908 Bergen Tunnels, through Newark and Orange to ultimately reach Dover station. Or take the modern ALP-46 electric locomotive & MultiLevel cars on push/pull electric services bound for the Big Apple - rush under the river tunnels to New York Penn Station and stable trains in Sunnyside Yard.
40-mile route from New York Penn and Hoboken to Dover, New Jersey
Key Features:
- 22 detailed stations, complete with authentic signage and audible passenger announcements
- NJ TRANSIT® Arrow III 2-car EMU (25K variant)
- NJ TRANSIT® ALP-46 & MultiLevel Cars & Control Car
- A number of engaging Scenarios and an authentic timetable, including Conductor Mode

- NJ TRANSIT® dual-mode traffic with the ALP-45DP (available separately)
- AI Amtrak services along the shared NEC tracks (available separately)

Platform Differences:
- PS4/Xbox One - No additional AI service layers will appear in the schedule for these platforms. All ALP-46 services have been removed. The ALP-46 will still be available to play in Scenarios.

NJ TRANSIT® ALP-45DP Loco Add-On
Power up prime movers or position the pantograph, the NJ TRANSIT® ALP-45DP is ready for dual-mode duty in Train Sim World 6! Operate additional push/pull trains along the winding Morristown Line on services that electric-only equipment is unable to perform.
The ALP-45DP is a modern and innovative locomotive that entered service in the early 2010s. Replacing ageing diesels, the ALP-45 is fitted with both a pantograph, and a diesel engine for dual-mode operation; this makes the loco capable of running across New Jersey’s unelectrified lines.
Unlike the ALP-46, the ALP-45DP is only a single-cab locomotive to make room inside for two turbocharged V12 engines, which combined are able to push and pull commuter trains away from the wires with 4200 horsepower under the hood. When making use of overhead wires, the ALP-45 can draw power from both the Morristown Division’s 25kV wires, and Newark’s 12kV setup, allowing them to operate to and from both Hoboken Terminal and New York Penn Station.
In Train Sim World 6, take control of the versatile ALP-45DP across the winding Morristown Line, running limited stop schedules and commuter services bound for the far reaches of the NJ TRANSIT® network.
Please Note: For the full experience, we recommend you own Train Sim World 6: Morristown Line which is available as a separate purchase.
Key Features:
- LP-45DP Electro-Diesel locomotive in NJ TRANSIT® livery

Bahnstrecke Leipzig - Dresden Route Add-On
Go beyond the boundaries of Nahverkehr Dresden and accelerate westbound all the way to Leipzig in Train Sim World 6. Drive modern ICE, regional and freight traffic along the oldest long-distance railway in Germany.
Built in 1839, the Leipzig-Dresden railway was the first long-distance line in Germany, and one of the oldest in the country. Over time the line earned a reputation for being one of the busiest as well, and its age meant it has seen many improvements to keep up with demand. Today, it is a modern commuter network and LZB-equipped intercity line in one.
Variety abounds for such a diverse network, with multiple trains operating different services, and on diverging lines. The innovative ICE-T is the main express traffic between Dresden and Leipzig, using the avoiding line in the East and LZB in the West. Regional services are often handled with the iconic BR 442, which also operated local services towards Großenhain. Loco-hauled Dostos get double duty, operating both regional and S-bahn S1 services.
In Train Sim World 6, become a driver or conductor aboard DB ICE and regional services. DB BR 294 Diesel Shunter Add-On
Venerable shunting traction drives into the yards of Germany, rejoice as the iconic DB BR 294 is ready for service in Train Sim World 6!
The BR 294, originally known as the V 90 series, were built in the 1960s & 70s as heavy shunting locomotives. Their weight and power made them suitable for shunting long trains, but also transporting wagons between different locations. In the 1990s a fleet overhaul saw 290 locos rebuilt & reclassified as the BR 294.
Despite their age, and with multiple locos retired in favour of newer traction, many 294s can still be found working today, holding onto local train duties and preparing long-distance freight for mainline traction to take onward. Their continuing commonality has made them a familiar sight across the length of Germany’s oldest long-distance railway.
In Train Sim World 6, assemble trains in industrial yards and take them across the mainline with classic diesel power. Get to work across Germany with Free Roam. The legendary V 90 awaits!
Please Note: For the full experience, we recommend you own Train Sim World 6: Bahnstrecke Leipzig - Dresden which is available as a separate purchase.

Riviera Line: Exeter – Plymouth & Paignton Route Add-On
Dive down the Devon Banks and soar along the Dawlish Sea Wall with the legendary Riviera Line for Train Sim World 6. Drive GWR services packed with holidaymakers for idyllic English coastal towns.
Both the Riviera and South Devon Main Lines were built in the mid-1800s. The challenging topography of the land saw rails navigate over hills and cling to coastlines. What followed was instant connections to seaside resorts and the ability to cross some of the most picturesque railway in England; as a result, the line soared in popularity.
Long gone are the days of GWR’s infamous broad gauge and atmospheric railway systems, instead today, the Exeter - Plymouth line is part of the greater, modern UK railway network. The Intercity Express Programme was one such innovation that saw the introduction of bi-mode multiple units to replace fan-favourite High Speed Trains. From this, the Class 802 was introduced, a more powerful, longer-range version of the IEP’s Class 800, designed for better tackling the undulating, distant West Country hills.
In Train Sim World 6, become a driver or conductor aboard GWR intercity and local services, race between Exeter and Plymouth in the Class 802, or take a trip to Paignton from the cab of the Class 150/2. Visit the newly built Marsh Barton station, soak in the sights of the sea, and wind through the hilly countryside.
Key Features:

- Two standard gauge heritage railway lines branch off from the route at both Totnes (South Devon Railway) and Paignton (Dartmouth Steam Railway). Though neither of these branches are included in the route Add-on, AI services can be unlocked with the Peak Forest Railway and West Somerset Railway Add-ons.
- Playable shunting services are available using the 8F and Jubilee steam locomotives and AI Class 33 services can be seen coming in and out of the map at Totnes.

CrossCountry BR Class 220 Voyager DEMU Add-On
Go on a long-distance voyage in the sleek BR Class 220 for Train Sim World 6! Drive CrossCountry services along the iconic Dawlish Sea Wall and race over the hills to Plymouth & Paignton.
The Voyagers were born from the idea to revolutionise some of the busiest and longest services in the UK, including the vast CrossCountry network. Entering service in 2001, the fleet of 34 Class 220s got busy traversing England & Scotland, with each member of the class clocking hundreds of miles per day.
Of the many lines and locations the Voyagers have served for the past 20 years, including the bustling city of Birmingham, and across the towering Forth Bridge in Scotland, perhaps the most ubiquitous is their stretch along the Devonshire seaside towns. Whether as part of the long-distance Aberdeen to Penzance marathon, or the occasional Manchester-Paignton jaunt, the Dawlish Sea Wall scenery is a highlight for travellers of all kinds.
In Train Sim World 6, be a driver or conductor aboard busy CrossCountry services along the scenic Riviera Line. Accelerate out of Exeter and race by on express services to Plymouth, crest over the Devon Hills and hurry past the Dawlish Sea Wall. When I purchase a TSW 6 bundle or add-on, will that include access to compatible content in previous games?
No Train Sim World 6 bundles or add-ons will not be backwards compatible with older Train Sim World games. They will only be compatible with Train Sim World 6.
Purchasing any product that says it is compatible with Train Sim World 6 will not include entitlements for previous games in the series.
Example:
Purchasing Train Sim World® 6: Nahverkehrsnetz Dresden - Riesa will be compatible with Train Sim World 6, but it will not be compatible with Train Sim World 1-5.
Common Purchasing Issues
Is Train Sim World 6 on the PlayStation Store compatible with PS4?
We can confirm that you will get both the PS4 and PS5 compatible version of Train Sim World 6 if you pre-order.
Some players have noticed that games that available for pre-order only have the PS5 compatibility tag on the store. This is due to a limitation imposed by PlayStation that means that the PS4 compatible tag has to added after release.
Example:
Why is the Free Starter Pack in my library, when I purchased a bundle?
Due to the way most platforms work, the base game has been renamed to the "Free Starter Pack". This enables us to give away the base game as the Free Starter Pack without any add-ons. This means everyone will get the Free Starter Pack in their library, whether you claimed it for free or bought a paid bundle.
Why can't I see the Deluxe/Special Edition in my library?
Deluxe Edition and Special Edition are bundles, not different versions of the game. Everyone gets the same base game, no matter which bundle you purchase. The only difference between bundles is the number of add-ons included.
Why doesn't the Deluxe/Special Edition show as owned?
This is expected behaviour and will have no impact on your ability to access or play the game.
From a retail perspective, the version of the game you pre-order and the release version are two different products, which we swap out when the game is released. Therefore, if you pre-ordered the game, you will no longer see that product on the store after release. However, you will still own the game and can redownload it at any time from your Library.

Gameplay Questions
Will Train Sim World 6 have new achievements?
Yes, Train Sim World 6 will have a new set of achievements to earn. However, add-ons will not support achievements moving forward.
What new features are there and what content will support them?

| Feature | Compatible Content | New TSW 6 Content | Game Modes | Visibility |
| Passenger Announcements | No | Yes | Timetable Mode/Scenarios (Limited) | Can be toggled in the settings menu. |
| Platform Announcements | No | Yes | Timetable Mode/Scenarios (Limited) | Can be toggled in the settings menu. |

| Temporary Speed Restrictions | No | Yes | Timetable Mode | Can be toggled in the settings menu. |
| Train Faults | No | Yes | Timetable Mode | Can be toggled in the settings menu. |
What new audio settings can I expect in Train Sim World 6?
In the Settings Menu, there will be several new options for announcements. These include:
- Passenger Announcements (Including a separate toggle for in-cab announcements)
- Platform Announcements
- Passenger Ambience
What can I expect from Passenger Announcements in Train Sim World 6?
Passenger Announcements play within the coaches / passenger compartment of multiple units.
For extra effect we've placed a speaker in the cabs of Train Sim World 6 trains that play the on-train announcements. This is not prototypical as often the driver can't hear them at all (and what's the fun of that?!) - Players can turn this special speaker off in the settings. They may still hear the announcements in multiple unit cabs (e.g. BR 442) but won't in locomotives (e.g. ALP-46).
Platform Announcements will be audible on the platforms of stations in TSW6 routes. The announcement system is a scripted system that assembles audio files together dynamically using different voices. Whilst there are no plans to implement this feature into any back catalogue route Add-ons, updated routes such as the planned GWE Remaster will have this considered for implementation.
Timetable mode is the best place to experience these announcements due to how busy the route can be. Whereas scenarios normally have a reduce set a AI services.
We also have Passenger Ambience within coaches / passenger compartments that varies based on the volume of passengers on the train. Busier trains during rush hour will have more 'chatter' than quieter night-time services. Players will have a setting to vary the volume of this. This will make a big difference for all game modes featuring passengers.
How will Random Events enhance my gameplay experience?
Signal Delays - Signal Delays will occur in timetable mode, meaning certain signal aspects will alter later than is normally expected in Train Sim World. Whilst the effect might not be immediate in one isolated delay, the knock-on effect may result in AI trains overtaking yours or a build up of delays over the course of a full service run.
Signal Delays will be available in the new routes and will be applied to back catalogue routes for Train Sim World 6 players.
Temporary Speed Restrictions - Signs will appear beside the track to give a visual indication of where any restrictions start and end.
The HUD will also react to these restrictions, giving you a clearer guide as to when you need to slow down to comply with the restrictions.
After reviewing the complexities of adding non-authentic assets to certain routes (i.e. modern-day assets on a historic route, or German signage appearing on a Dutch route, for example), we will just be implementing this for launch on TSW6 routes and will review opportunities to add to older content in the future.
How will Train Faults be implemented in Train Sim World 6?
Train Faults will be a series of non-fatal faults that can be easily reset. Players will get a pop up when a fault occurs so that they can then take the necessary action to clear it. In all cases, Train Faults will only apply to the player train and not AI trains.
Trains Faults are applied contextually on a per loco basis. The following list shows what faults can be expected per loco.
| Loco Name | Faults |
|---|---|
| NJ TRANSIT® Arrow III |

- GWR Class 802
- NJ TRANSIT® ALP-46
- NJ TRANSIT® MultiLevel cars
- DB BR 411 ICE-T
- DB BR 146
- DB BR 185
Train Faults can be toggled in the Settings menu. This is setup on a train-by-train basis, so it will only be applied to Train Sim World 6 routes and trains, and subsequent TSW6 Add-on releases.

How are layers in Timetable mode changing?
In Train Sim World 6, services layers that require additional content will be off by default. Giving you the best possible performance. Whereas the base layers using stock that comes with the route will be always on.
This will be communicated to new players with a pop-up when you start the game, and the menu icon will visibly change when layers are off.
However, if you have a high-end machine and would like to enable all layers at once, you can do so from the Settings menu.

Will Train Sim World 6 support multiplayer?
No, Train Sim World was built to be a single player experience, which does not easily translate to multiplayer.
However, we are still interested in building a multiplayer train experience. If this were to happen, it will be with a game built from the ground up to be a multiplayer experience, but it will not be a Train Sim World game.

Your entitlement to the TSW 6 version of your compatible content requires you to own the TSW 5 version of that content first. Depending on when you last played, you may need to upgrade your add-ons several times. Your content must be upgraded in sequential order (e.g. TSW 3 > TSW 4 > TSW 5 > TSW 6).
You will need to claim each version of an add-on from the PlayStation Store, to add the entitlement to your PSN account. So, if you originally purchased a TSW 3 add-on, your next step would be to find the TSW 4 version on the PlayStation Store and hit Download to add it to your account. Then, you upgrade again, one game at a time, till you get to the TSW 6 version.
Once the add-on has been added to your library, it can be redownloaded at any time using normal download instructions. Furthermore, you can cancel downloads for any content you don’t need.

No, Train Sim World 6 Compatible bundles and add-ons will only be compatible with Train Sim World 6. This does not include access to add-ons in previous versions of the game even if the add-on was available in an older version of the game.
Can I transfer my games/add-ons to a different platform?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer games or add-ons across separate platforms. This is an industry standard and not something we have any control over. Furthermore, we are not involved with the financial side of your purchases from these platforms, as such you should refer to the retailer you purchased from, if you have a query about your purchase. The following are separate platforms with their own storefronts.
Platforms:
- PlayStation
- Xbox/Microsoft Store/Game Pass for PC
- Steam (PC)
- Epic Games Store (PC)
When you purchase an add-on or game from one of these platforms, you acquire a licence to use that content solely on the platform it was bought from. Consequently, you are bound by the terms and conditions established by the platform provider (e.g., PlayStation). These game licences are non-transferrable.
To use a real-world example: "Buying a ticket for one airline won't get you a seat on a different airline's flight".
The sole exception lies with Microsoft, who sell Play Anywhere products. These products can be used across all Xbox and Microsoft Store platforms, where the product explicitly states that it is compatible with Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X and PC platforms.
